To celebrate the opening of a flagship store in Beijing and the introduction of digital tech to all its stores in China, which we covered here, Burberry held a runway show at the Beijing Television Center. The fashion and technology extravaganza featured life-like hologram models parading up and down the catwalk.
In a nod to its roots as one of the UK’s top luxury fashion labels, the show presented a celebration of British weather, going through the four seasons, with holograms bursting into snowflakes at one point. The runway show also included the British band Keane, in what was their first performance in China, as well as a large turnout of celebrities and top models both on and off the catwalk.
