Durst (B1/260) has used Fespa to launch its 3.2m-wide Rhotex 320 and claimed it has created a new market – industrial soft signage.
The machine prints directly onto textiles at speeds of up to 70m2 per hour. It is available with six-colours and uses water-based dispersed dye inks. As well as graphics, applications will include flags, banners and furnishings.
Durst chief executive Richard Piock said the unit will capitalise on the fastest growing segment in the wide-format sector. “Fabrics are lighter and easier to install and mount,” he said.
Durst has also unveiled the 180sqm per hour, 600dpi Rho 750 at the show. It’s a six-colour modular flatbed inkjet machine that uses Quadro Array 30D printheads with silicon nozzle plate.
