When it comes to universal themes, finding your place in the world ranks pretty high in life and in movies. It’s not a surprise to me that paper was used to help communicate that theme in this short film, since what is more universal than paper when you need to communicate? Symbolically, we all start off as blank sheets of paper waiting for our stories to unfold. As we journey through life, the page fills up with memories and experiences, and the things that connect us more than keep us apart. This video is a nice reminder of that.
From YouTube: “Hollywood & Vines” is the first film directed via Twitter and shot entirely on Vine. For four days, people around the world worked with the director to share in the creation of a single story about travel, adventure and finding your place in the world. This is the result of that global experiment, featuring 100 Viners from everywhere from Kansas to Kuwait. More info here.
