Getting to know the V3 Summit Speakers PMC style…

The Vision 3 Summit is a provocative ‘mega’ networking and education event—for executive-level industry service providers and vendors—designed to deliver the latest intelligence on all aspects of running a graphic communications business.

With an amazing speaker line up addressing a wide array of poignant industry topics, the V3 Summit is on a lot of radar screens out there including other media resources. As a media sponsor for the conference, we are taking a different route to introduce you to some of the major players on a more personal level. I asked for a response to one of these two questions: What inspires you about Print? / When did you get hooked on Print? and also What is your favorite V word (other than Vision), and why?

As they come back I will be sharing them so follow us and @Vision3Summit / #V3summit on Twitter, and watch for new posts here and on our Facebook page.  Click on the link to see details on the V3 Summit Sessions. Here are the first two… hope you enjoy!

V3 Session: “Impact of Electronic Technologies on Print”A Market Research Study by PRIMIR

What inspires you about Print?
The creation of printing technology is a complex, multi-disciplinary science.  It is the marriage of chemistry, physics, mechanical, and electrical engineering. Digital printing technology has enabled the masses to  hit return on a keyboard and create the most beautiful printed output imaginable, without thought to hundreds of billions of man-hours and billions of dollars of investment that it required to simplify this process. It is the continuing process of further extending the marriage of chemistry, physics, mechanical, and electrical engineering to address an ever greater range of applications that can be printed digitally that has me hooked on print.

What is your favorite V word (other than Vision), and why?
Value. We are mere stewards of the resources we consume during our short time on earth. We need to use those resources wisely and use them to create value for those present around us today and for generations to come. Print pages of value, eliminated the rest.

V3 Session: Surviving and Thriving in a Transcended Media Age: Secrets Revealed

What inspires you about Print?
Print not only inspires me but transforms me through different worlds I never knew existed.  Every time I touch a print publication, all my senses are activated and I am in a different world.  It is that addicted transformation that made me, continues to make me and will always continue to be my ticket to the world. Growing up in Lebanon, it was that very first issue of  the Arabic Superman that I bought as a child that get me hooked on ink on paper.  I fell in love with the smell of ink on paper and never looked back.

What is your favorite V word (other than Vision), and why?
Voice is the V word I like.  We are in the conversation business and without a voice you can’t even start a conversation.
