HP has announced the winners of the signage industry’s first digital print awards.

The Awards were presented at the HP Digital Print Awards 2010 (Asia Pacific & Japan) – HP Scitex, gala dinner held in conjunction with the 18th Shanghai International Advertising & Sign Technology & Equipment Exhibition in Shanghai.

The inaugural Awards recognise the outstanding achievements and contributions of Print Service Providers (PSPs) in the signage industry across Asia Pacific and Japan. This year’s Awards attracted over 100 entries for the five key categories from across the region.

Winning entries from each category were showcased at HP booth 037 at the 18th Shanghai International Advertising & Sign Technology & Equipment Exhibition from the 8th to 10th July 2010.

New Zealand company Adgraphix was amongst the place getters taking out a bronze award in the Interior Advertising category.

Scott Shore Operations Managing Director said, “What a great honour to be the sole Australasian award winner in the inaugural HP Scitex Awards. We are thrilled we took out the bronze award. Ideally gold is the ultimate goal, but given the geographic size of the region from which entries were eligible we are very happy with our achievement. The Awards are a great concept that HP has put together – like companies using like machinery competing for top honours. For companies who have a focus on quality and innovation it is an attractive competition to be judged amongst your peers.”
