NFC, NFC, NFC. And just in case, NFC stands for Near Field Communications.
I am anxiously awaiting this tech to be mainstream for many reasons but one that always stands out is related to payments as visualized in the infographic below. And it’s not because I feel that finding my wallet, pulling out a credit card, waiting for it to be processed, then having to sign the receipt is some sort of calorie burning and time consuming task, it’s because as long as payments are part of it’s use, everyone is going to get behind it, support it, and it will keep evolving and getting better. That works for me because of the amazing marketing uses NFC will bring. Eventually, it will be more universal than QR, and Im betting replace it.

Phones are evolving so fast they will soon be the only thing in our pockets. Like how they destroyed the MP3 player, we’ll have our drivers license, credit cards and car keys all on different apps. The keychain companies will take a hit, but think about always having open pockets for other things.
