A great headline caught my eye this week – Intelligence Driven Communications Division created by Communisis, a £200m ($300m) Print Group.
Deciding not to take the path of organic growth, this company is acquiring small niche companies in order to become the company I have suggested a printer needs to become to stay secure in today’s multi-channel world.
The first purchase is specialist software production company and the second a social media agency.
Each purchase, they say, aligns with the company strategy to build a range of data and creative services, blah de blah, but, more importantly, take the business into “double-digit growth”.
I know many a printer who would welcome that – is this not the road they should take too?
