KBA’s 16pp C16 press is said to have a high net output, high-speed job changes, low levels of startup waste, enhanced production flexibility and reduced operator, energy and maintenance input.
The automated KBA C16 will be offered in two performance classes: 55,000 copies per hour (cph) and 65,000cph.
KBA’s 55,000cph or 65,000cph C16 web offset press for the 6pp sector.
Its output falls between the Compacta 215 (maximum 50,000cph), of which there are over 150 installations, and the Compacta 217 (maximum 70,000cph) launched at Drupa 2004.
Compared to these two models, the C16 has new features and, compared to similar models from domestic and foreign press manufacturers, it provides a range of technical and user benefits.
The KBA C16’s features include what is claimed to have the fastest plate change in its class – less than 60sec, irrespective of the number of plates – as well as KBA’s Rollertronic rollers locks for a longer service life and reduced maintenance.
