Print shows in Europe often bring out displays of amazing print samples gathered by passionate people who want to share and educate. One of those passionate people is Janne Høgshøj, the Danish Connection. At the 2019 Danish Sign, Print & Pack, Janne brought her amazing collection of print. It spanned marketing, packaging, and conceptual art with a sprinkling of posters and displays that kept me entertained for hours.
The power of the display was that it was touchable. I spent 30 minutes playing with one piece that formed a device that could be taken apart and put back together. I spent 15 minutes intrigued with the printing techniques on a luxury package and then another 15 minutes studying a beautifully done marketing brochure. From monochrome to CYMK+, there were dozens of pieces. They were thoughtfully and carefully arranged, and Janne had a story for every piece.
