The Printerverse – Print Media Centr (PMC) is expanding Project Peacock by taking it beyond the conference rooms of ad agencies and in-house marketing departments and bringing it to intimate event spaces, around the US.
Project Peacock, a traveling show-and-tell created by Deborah Corn, the Intergalactic Ambassador to The Printerverse at Print Media Centr, began as a program to share print samples, applications, and information with agencies, brands, and corporations. The intent was to help broaden their understanding of what is possible with today’s toner-based, inkjet and wide format presses, digital finishing, paper and substrates, and marketing technology.
After meeting with more than 600 Project Peacock attendees, Project Peacock Peeks was created to offer a library of on-demand, application-based educational videos, meeting the demand for non-solicitous end-user education accessible to everyone. The program is expanding again to bring the show-and-tell back on a much grander scale.
The inaugural Project Peacock Print Fair will happen on March 14 in NYC. This one-night-only pop-up event takes place from 6-9PM at The Angel Orensanz Foundation. The evening kicks off with cocktails and keynotes at 6 PM. From 7-9 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to see print applications and learn about the new print technologies available to them through our partners.
Project Peacock Print Fair partners include Agfa Graphics, Association for PRINT Technologies (APTech), Canon Solutions America, Domtar Paper, Fold Factory, Komori, Konica Minolta, MGI, PaperSmiths, PRINTING United/BRAND United, Reality Blu, Ricoh, Xeikon and Xerox.
“This gathering of industry print and paper pros will deliver a unique and personal learning experience that will have a long-lasting impact and value for attendees and partners,” said Corn. She continued, “Besides this being an elite focus group moment to see firsthand if the offerings of the partners resonate with end-users, Print Fair will open up the opportunity for long-term relationship building with the attendees, and provide the industry with a direct pipeline to this elite group of print customers and marketers to share knowledge and information on an on-going basis.”
Project Peacock will work with Printing Impressions and Target Marketing through an exclusive media sponsorship agreement. Both publications will promote and cover the event for their audience of printers and print customers.
“Printing Impressions is pleased to support our printer audience and manufacturer/supplier clients by participating in Project Peacock Print Fair,” said Mark J Subers, President/CRO NAPCO Media Printing and Packaging Group. “It’s critically important to have an open and active dialog between the brand, designer, and printing community and Project Peacock Print Fair is a wonderful way to facilitate that engagement.”
“Project Peacock Print Fair is a perfect event to help direct marketing agencies and marketers elevate their game through enhanced education on data-driven marketing strategies and tactics! We are thrilled to be part of this powerful event, and encourage our audience to join us there” Chris Lyons President/CRO Target Marketing Group, NAPCO Media.
To manifest the bigger picture in the most meaningful way, Project Peacock is also partnering with PRINTING United and BRAND United to join forces in helping the industry and the end-users align. Representatives will address the attendees about these new events in Dallas, Oct 23-25, 2019.
“PRINTING United is the largest printing expo in North America and will be co-located with BRAND United which is an educational conference for brands,” said Subers. “Project Peacock is aligned with the strategic goals of PRINTING United and BRAND United and we are happy to support as Keynote Sponsors of this event.”
Project Peacock Print Fair NYC is FREE for print customers.Printers and service providers are welcome to attend in exchange for a $45 tax-deductible donation to benefit the Advertising Production Club of NYC, Graphic Communications Scholarship Fund (GCSF).
“This is only the start of bigger and better things to come,” said Corn. “It has always been my personal mission to deliver unfiltered ‘printspiration’ to the print customers.” She continues, “Having been one for more than 25 years, I know how important on-going education about applications and technology, mixed with effective and efficient print purchasing decisions, are to their career development and longevity. It is in our best interest to keep them informed and help them execute to the best of our ability, as much as we can.”
