Conference Tracks for Xplor 2011 – The Breakdown

Pat McGrew M-EDP, CMP Kodak, Co-Conference Chair of the 2011 Xplor International Conference & Vendor Forum in Tampa, FL April 5th-7th, has provided a handy breakdown of the educational tracks:

  • STRATEGIZE: Communication Requirements in a Multi-Channel World
Every organization that communicates with its constituents faces a challenging task in a world where customers select their messaging touch points. This track addresses the issues of selecting the best communication channels for your message and building an effective customer communication strategy.
  • DESIGN: The Impact of Data and Design Prep
To effectively communicate in today’s environment you must be both relevant and respectful, while holding the customer’s attention. This track focuses on how and when to use customer data, how to use data to inform design that works, and how to ensure it can be delivered in all of your communication channels.
  • OPTIMIZE: Technology and Print Streams
Beyond AFP, Metacode and PDF there are a variety of technologies and streams involved in customer communication today. Integrating QR and Scan codes is part of the story, but so is enhancing your monochrome print stream for color. This track focuses on how to optimize your technology tool kit and how to work most effectively with your data and print streams for multi-channel delivery.
  • INTEGRATE: Automated Document Factory (ADF) and Workflow
ADF and workflow management are critical components for efficient, cost-effective operations and to meet document security, auditability and regulatory requirements. This track focuses on real ADFs today – how organizations are implementing (and justifying) ADFs and workflow solutions using both traditional offerings and new smaller, streamlined opportunities.
  • DELIVER: Delivery Options and Postal Considerations
Communicating to your customers is more complex than ever. Some want paper, some want pixels. Some want SMS and others want it in every available channel. As their provider you must support them all. This track focuses on current and evolving delivery options, and on how the changes in the postal systems world wide impact delivery options.

Pat states via email “The quality and content of the speaker submissions is outstanding this year, and our track chairs — Carrie Murphy (Strategize), Barbara Martine (Design), Don Scrima (Optimize), Stephen Poe (Integrate), and Rob Williams (Deliver) – have done a great job building and coordinating one of the deepest and compelling Xplor educational programs ever.  We have some really interesting panel discussions planned for this year, and Xplor has some new vendor sponsors who will bring new perspectives on our industry.”
