French Connection goes lenticular for summer campaign

Lenticular printer Riot of Colour has produced a range of black and white lenticular photos for French Connection. The photos are being used as window displays until mid-June and forms part of the fashion store’s This Is Man/This Is Woman campaign.

“Our campaign includes some amazing short films, you can see them all on youtube, we wanted to use these in our windows, but this is difficult with the summer light.

Using lenticular was a great alternative to having plasma screens,” says John Hewitt, head of creative at French Connection UK.

As you walk along beside the prints, the woman’s eyes open and close whilst the man turns around and looks at you.

“Passers by have found it amusing and interacted with it, blogs and competitors have also showed great interest in it so it has been great for us,” explains Hewitt.

The lenticular prints are due to run in all French Connection UK’s stores for eight weeks.

The prints are between 500 x 280mm and 1200 x 670mm and 150 pieces were produced.
