For those outside of the printing industry, the definition of printing is limited to books, newspapers, and magazines. Perhaps that is why many outside of this 200 billion dollar industry perceive it as a dying breed at the hands of the digital executioner. Few realize the impact of print in our daily lives, so let’s follow a typical day. (Italics represent prints involvement.)

Printing, once you consider all of its various applications, is an integral part of our everyday lives.Stumbling into the bathroom, after the jolt from the morning alarm, you find yourself slightly more awake after your morning shower. You start to feel slightly more refreshed after using your favorite shampoo and body wash. Morning breath is beaten back with a quick brushing of teeth. The packaging ensures the tingling of minty freshness is coming from your toothpaste instead of your back pain ointment. Walking out of the bathroom you make a mental note to look for more up-to-date wallpaper because the pink floral pattern has never really been your style.
